His Royal Highness Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge.

How exciting to watch the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge bring home their first born son, His Royal Highness Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge.

Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William might have only welcomed their first child, Prince George last month, but according to insiders they're already loving being parents and are barely away from their son.

Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge was born on July 22 at the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital, Paddington with his proud parents claiming they were "delighted" to welcome their first child.

Since then the couple have kept a low profile, getting to know their son whie living with Kate's parents at their £7.4 million home in Bucklebury, Berkshire and according to sources close to the couple it's all going very well with the royal couple besotted with the little one.

"They're loving it," a source told Us Weekly, "Every day is bringing new things to learn."

Unlike other royal parents, Kate and Wills are said to be very hands on and while their house keeper Antonella Fresolone is helping out when it comes to George they want to do it themselves.

"They're doing as much as they can by themselves," the source went on. "The baby is always with one of them, or asleep."

"He already looks really different from when he was in the hospital!" they added.

Cheers and a barrage of camera flashes greeted William and Kate when they gave the world the first and as yet only glimpse of their newborn son when they left a London hospital the day after his birth. The couple is expected to release another photo of the prince shortly.

William said the experience had been daunting.

"I think I was on such a high anyway and so was Catherine about George that really we were happy to show him off to whoever wanted to see him," he said laughing.

"As any new parent knows, you are only too happy to show off your new child and proclaim that he's the best looking or the best everything."

Britain's Prince William and his wife Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge appear with their baby son outside the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital, in central London July 23, 2013.

Prince William and his wife Kate left hospital on Tuesday and gave the world its first glimpse of their baby boy, who becomes third in line to the British throne.

William and Kate, both aged 31, had been expected to be very hands on parents, in contrast with the traditional formal upbringing of British royals, be it changing diapers or the fact William himself drove his family away from the hospital.

"Driving your son and your wife away from hospital ... was really important to me and I don't like fuss so it's much easier to do it yourself," he said.

The royal couple had been living in a remote part of Wales, where William works as a rescue helicopter pilot, but since the birth, they have been staying with Kate's parents before moving to revamped quarters at Kensington Palace in central London later this year.

"As a few fathers might know I'm actually quite looking forward to going back to work. I'm just hoping that the first few shifts I go back I don't have any night jobs," he joked.

Asked if he intended to pass on any of his passions, such as an wildlife conservation, William replied: "At the moment, the only legacy I want to pass on to him is to sleep more and maybe not have to change his nappy quite so many times."

A new home for Prince George! The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expected to move into Anmer Hall on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk with their new baby within months.
