On Thursday afternoon, April 17, 2014,
the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Three Sisters, a famous rock
formation in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, Australia. They also
stopped in the nearby town of Katoomba, where they were introduced to
three Aboriginal elders who represented the Indigenous landowners of
Echo Point. The elders presented William and Kate with a kangaroo skin
cloak and a smaller possum cloak for Prince George.
the
foggy air behind the royal couple is caused by all the gum trees
releasing eucalyptus oil..that's why they are named the blue mountains
because from a distance they look blue..just a bit of trivia
He looks so happy to be here which is great! |

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge traveled to the Blue Mountains area in New South Wales. They met victims and first responders of last year's devastating bush fires in Winmalee.
Afterwards,
they joined a group of Girl Guides in planting a flowering gum, a
native Australian tree, as a symbol of regeneration in the bush fire
affected area.
What a beautiful couple ;-) |
