Prince George's Christening Photos Are Here!

The official christening photographs of 3-month-old Prince George, heir to the British throne, have been released. Shot by photographer Jason Bell at the Clarence House following the service, one photo features Prince George wearing a handmade replica of the royal christening robe, Kate Middleton clad in a cream-colored dress by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, and Prince William in a navy-blue suit.

It also shows an event that has not been seen for 119 years – a reigning monarch shown with three generations of future kings. The Queen, 87, clearly relished the historic moment, smiling with her son Prince Charles, grandson William and great-grandson George.

It is the first time such a royal family portrait has been taken since 1894 - when Queen Victoria
was pictured with her son, later Edward VII, grandson, later George V,
and great-grandson, who became Edward VIII.

Another image shows Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, Prince William, and Prince George, sitting together. “That photo is a big deal — it's the first time since 1894 that a reigning British monarch is photographed with three generations of heirs,” royal expert Victoria Arbiter tells Yahoo Shine. The first image was taken during the christening of the future Edward VIII and included Queen Victoria, her son Edward VII, her grandson George V, and her great-grandson Edward VIII.

The stunning pictures were taken at a tea party hosted by George’s proud grandad Prince Charles and his wife Camilla in the morning room at Clarence House, London.

Mother and Daughter

"One mother holding the future Queen Consort in her arms and the other mother holding the future King"
 ....Mother and Daughter....

The Duchess of Cambridge had a "perfect, natural birth" when she welcomed baby Prince George on July 22nd, the latest issue of Vanity Fair reports. "She spoke to some of her best girlfriends after the birth and described the birth as perfect," a source told the October issue of the magazine. "She said it was straightforward and there were no complications. She wanted a natural birth and she was so happy she was able to have one."

And it would seem that Kate mirrored her own mother in that regard. George Brown, who has been a close family friend of the Middletons for the past 31 years, told Vanity Fair that new grandmother Carole had an "easy and natural" birth when she delivered her own firstborn.

"[It] didn't surprise me," he said. "She was fit and competent from the word go. She seemed to take to motherhood amazingly well, and when I went round to see her, she was happy and seemed to know exactly what she was doing. Catherine was a lovely little baby, cherubic and chubby-cheeked and so good. I remember she didn't cry much at all. I think that was probably because Carole was so relaxed."

The article also sheds light on new details surrounding the birth, such as Kate's appearance when she entered the hospital in the early hours of the morning (a dark shawl and her hair loose around her shoulders) - and how waiting photographers decided it would be inappropriate to snap her. The article also reveals that the Duchess's hairdresser, Amanda Cook Tucker was on standby for the entire month of July.

The hair stylist, who arrived at the hospital with an assistant, was also responsible for bringing a selection of dresses for Kate to choose from for her first post-baby appearance outside the hospital, the magazine reports. "She chose the pale blue spotted Jenny Packham dress that afternoon because her tummy was still very rounded and she decided there was no point trying to hide her bump, so she went for a flattering dress that showed off her curves," a source said.

They added that the Duchess was apparently still very emotional at the time, and "incredibly nervous" about posing for the press, though William was on hand with plenty of reassurance.

Duchess of Cambridge joins Prince William on first public appearance since the birth of Prince George.

Kate arriving at the Ring O'Fire Marathon.

The Duchess of Cambridge's decision to join her husband at the launch of an ultra-marathon today was a surprise and her attendance was only revealed this morning.

The Duchess of Cambridge made her first public appearance since the birth of Prince George when she joined Prince William as he started the Anglesey Coastal Ultra Marathon, the annual 135 coastal run. But Prince George did not join the royal couple.

The Duke was on the island to start the gruelling, three-day annual "ultra" marathon run around the coast of the island, known as the Ring O' Fire. The annual event is a 135-mile foot race around the rugged coast of Anglesey, staged over three days and including 13,695 feet of ascent.

Wearing a tweed jacket and slim black trousers the Kate laughed as she met some of the runners and their families and volunteers before the start of the ultra marathon.

While mingling with the crowds Prince William was given some wet wipes for the youngest royal. He has already spoken about changing Prince George's nappy.

The royal couple have lived on Anglesey for years and have always spoken of their love of the island.

William said a public goodbye a fortnight ago as he confirmed his young family would be leaving their Welsh home and moving "elsewhere" when his posting comes to an end this month, having completed his three-year tour as an RAF search and rescue helicopter pilot based at RAF Valley on Anglesey.

The Duke is widely expected to leave north Wales and return to London with Kate and their baby son to take on more royal duties rather than stay in the service.

Kate was last seen wearing the top on March 3, 2013 during a trip to Arosa, Switzerland.

Today the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge officially opened the Ring O’ Fire Anglesey Coastal Ultra Marathon in Wales. Before ringing the bell to start the race, they met with some of the runners, their families, and event volunteers. The marathon marked Kate's first public appearance since Prince George was born on July 22nd.

She looks great. Can't believe Prince George was born a month ago and she looks wonderful.

It is nice that she can just go out and do something normal w/out glitz and glamour. GO Kate!

So natural, just like any other Mum but she also knows her Royal duties. Her and William combine both perfectly. Great couple.
