Afghanistan Service of Commemoration




Today (March 13, 2015), the Queen, head of the UK's armed forces, lead the British royal family, including Prince Philip, Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry, Prince Andrew, Princess Anne, and the Earl and Countess of Wessex, in attending a service of commemoration to mark the end of combat operations in Afghanistan at St. Paul's Cathedral in London. Almost 150,000 UK personnel served in the Afghanistan conflict, and 453 British men and women died in the fight against the Taliban insurgency.

The Duchess of Cambridge wore a new "Chiara Wool" coat by Beulah London. The £650, navy, 
fluted coat is made of 100% wool. It's nipped-in waist elegantly contrasts with soft folds at the hem.

Family Friends Visit





This morning (January 19, 2015), the Duchess of Cambridge attended a coffee morning at Family Friends, 
a volunteer organization providing befriending and mentoring services to families in deprived areas of Kensington and Chelsea. Kate got an overview their work and then joined families to meet some of the network of trained volunteers who provide practical and emotional support to parents and children.

 Style File: For today's engagements in Kensington, the Duchess of Cambridge wore a new 'Natasha' cashmere blend coat and a new 'Florrie' floral print dress, both from Seraphine Maternity's Spring/Summer 2015 collection. The £195/$349 mist blue coat is made from a luxurious cashmere blend with clean lines and a sleek straight cut. It features an understated collar and is finished with faux pockets and iridescent mother of pearl buttons. The £99/$179, ocean marine shade dress is made of soft woven fabric, drapes just above the knee, and features an empire waist. At the time of this pointing, neither piece was yet available on the designer's website.

2015 The Fostering Network Visit





Today (January 16, 2015), the Duchess of Cambridge attended an event hosted by The Fostering Network in Islington to celebrate the work of foster care providers. Kate was given an overview of fostering by meeting with care providers and social workers before joining a reception for people involved in fostering.

The Clore Art Room Visit






Today (January 15, 2015), the Duchess of Cambridge, patron of The Art Room, visited the Barlby Primary School in London to officially name The Clore Art Room. Kate greeted staff and students and spoke to children who attend the workshops. She also joined a round table discussion about the work of The Art Room with education professionals.

The Art Room is a national charity that offers art as therapy to young people ages 5 to 16 who 
are facing challenges in their lives.

 Children from The Clore Art Room presented the Duchess of Cambridge with a miniature chair decorated with stamps donated by the Royal Household. Pictured with Kate is Turner Prize-winning artist Grayson Perry, who is also a patron of The Art Room.














 Style File: For today's visit to the Barlby Primary School in London to officially name The Clore Art Room, the Duchess of Cambridge wore a new navy blue "Naomi" dress by Madderson London. The fabric of A-line, shift dress comes from Hainsworth, a heritage British mill that clothed the soldiers in the Battle of Waterloo. The 100% wool dress, trimmed with French tweed, has been reduced from £450 to £225. The designer's website went down as soon as Kate was seen wearing the dress, and it has since sold old. However, there are different versions of the dress still available.

2014 Christmas Morning Church Service






This morning (December 25, 2014), the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge joined several members of the royal family for their traditional Christmas morning church service at St. Mary Magdalene, located on the grounds of the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.
