This evening (December 5, 2013), the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the UK premiere of "Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom" at the Odeon Leicester Square in London. Before the performance, William and Kate met a selection of trustees and beneficiaries of the Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund, Nelson Mandela's daughter Zindzi Mandela and members of the film's cast and crew including Idris Elba who plays Nelson Mandela and Naomie Harris who plays Winnie Mandela.

Kate Takes Prince George Out For a Stroll at Kensington Gardens.

Prince George goes for a walk! Today (December 4, 2013) the Duchess of Cambridge was spotted taking George and her dog Lupo for a walk in Kensington Gardens. All photos courtesy of PopSugar.

Kate Middleton traded princess duty for mom duty in London Wednesday when she took baby Prince George for a walk — and we have the exclusive pictures! Kate and William's dog Lupo also came along, as the Duchess of Cambridge pushed the future king of England in his stroller. The trio enjoyed the fresh air in Kensington Gardens, which is basically their backyard. Just yesterday we saw the new royal mom decked out in a tiara that once belonged to the Queen Mother. Will and Kate took up official duties on Tuesday, joining the queen for the annual diplomatic reception. But for her time with George, Kate swapped the traditional headpiece for a baseball cap and donned some sneakers, looking like an everyday mom.

The Diamond Duchess: Kate wears glittering Tiara for white tie ball at Buckingham Palace.

The Duchess of Cambridge pictured arriving at the Diplomatic Reception. She was seen arriving at Buckingham Palace in chauffeur-driven Bentley. The Duchess appeared to be wearing matching earrings and a white dress. It is the first time she has been seen with a tiara since the Royal wedding. She had her hair in a half up, half down style to show off the diamonds

It is the largest - and one of the most glittering - annual receptions the monarch holds at Buckingham Palace. Little wonder, then, that the Duchess of Cambridge was determined to shine. Arriving at tonight’s Diplomatic Reception in a chauffeur-driven Bentley, Kate sported in public for the first time since her wedding a dazzling tiara, believed to have been loaned to her by the Queen.

With her long, dark locks swept back in a half-up half-down hairstyle to show off the delicate diamonds to their best advantage, the Duchess, 31, looked more regal than ever. The Duchess was wearing a bespoke evening gown by Alexander McQueen.
Kensington Palace confirmed tonight that the tiara had belonged to Princess Margaret. It is a particularly delicate diamond tiara of fanned motifs crowned by floating diamond arches and studded with two pearls at the base and a central top pearl.

It was made from one of her wedding gifts, a necklace of a Greek key pattern with pendant diamonds and pearls given by her husband, the future George VI. Jewellers Garrard dismantled it and created a tiara instead.

The Queen Mother often wore it as a young woman before handing it down to her youngest daughter, Princess Margaret, who also loaned it to Serena Stanhope for her wedding to Margaret’s son Viscount Linley.

Although Prince William and his wife have studiously avoided attending any state banquets since their wedding (when a tiara is obligatory), claiming they are left to senior working royals, tonight’s reception was something of a three-line whip.

There are 172 Foreign Missions currently accredited to the Court of St James’s in London, because St. James’s Palace is still the senior palace and official residence of the Sovereign.

Each year the Queen throws a lavish reception in their honour, where members of the royal family make a point of meeting and greeting each one.

A piece of history: The beautiful tiara was owned by the Queen Mother and handed down to Princess Margaret. Kensington Palace confirmed that the Queen loaned it to the Duchess for tonight

Family heirloom: The Queen Mother is pictured wearing the tiara in a picture from 1930, left, while Princess Margaret is seen wearing it to a state dinner, right.

The Duchess of Cambridge Celebrate the Achievements of Sports Stars.

The Duchess of Cambridge, Patron of SportsAid, arriving for the 2013 SportsBall, the charity's annual gala dinner.

The Duchess of Cambridge joined Olympic athletes at a ball held to help the next generation of British sports stars. The Duchess was greeted by Olympic stars including Amy Williams and Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson at the Sports Aid event, for which she is a patron. She was also greeted by Anna Watkins, an Olympic gold medallist rower.

The Sportsball gala dinner is Sportsaid's major annual fundraiser. It also celebrates the achievements of the athletes the charity has supported over the years and looks to the future by shining a light on talent in the next generation. With this in mind, the Duchess will  present the One-to-Watch Award, which honours a young British sportsman or woman who has demonstrated extraordinary commitment to their sport and career and previous recipients include diver Tom Daley.

The Duchess wore a black dress designed by Alice Temperley to the SportsAid event, held in central London. She teamed the dress with Jimmy Choo shoes and a red Alexander McQueen handbag. The London Templeton dress, described as having an ‘Audrey Hepburn feel’, had been on sale for £398 but had sold out online on Thursday night, minutes after the Duchess appeared wearing it. The knee length dress had a crocheted skirt and three quarter length sleeves.

with an elegant off-the-peg Temperley dress accompanied by a pair of glamorous Jimmy Choos, she did just that.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Wear J.Crew on the Cover of Bloomberg Businessweek

The United States is turning the tables on Britain and invading, well, the fashion world, that is.

To highlight J.Crew's opening of its first European flagship earlier this month, Bloomberg Businessweek wrote a cover story on the all-American retailer landing in London. And they presented it to the public in the most royally awesome way: Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge "wearing" flannel and chinos.

Don't be fooled by the magazine's impressive use of Photoshop, because the heirs to the throne are not actually wearing the casual duds ... yet. J.Crew styles are certainly approved by the U.S.'s closest version of a queen, First Lady Michelle Obama. And considering the Duke and Duchess both have that laid-back quality but still manage to look super classy all the time — channeling a sense of style that J.Crew is famous for — I predict it's only a matter of time before the pair is seen in real-life looking like catalog models.

Nevertheless, until you can say, "Kate Middleton and I were wearing the same sequin tee today," or "My boyfriend looks just as good in that cashmere sweater that Prince William was wearing when he saved the world," feast your eyes on these images for some laughs and fashion inspiration.

Kate's engagement ring was turned over??

Kate Middleton Dazzles at Charity Gala

The evening the Duchess of Cambridge, Patron, 100 Women in Hedge Funds Philanthropic Initiatives, attended a reception and gala dinner to benefit Action on Addiction at the State Apartments in Kensington Palace.

A day after her son's christening, Duchess Kate returned to her charity work today, attending a reception and gala in aid of Action on Addiction in the Kensington Palace State Apartments. The Duchess of Cambridge is a patron of 100 Women in Hedge Funds Philanthropic Initiatives, which raises money for good causes. One of Kate's causes is fighting substance addiction. She appeared at a reception and dinner, and was to present an award, the 100 Women in Hedge Funds' 2013 European Industry Leadership Award. She was slim in a floor-length off-the-shoulder ink-blue silk tulle gown with a V-neckline and a black velvet belt by Jenny Packham, one of her favorite British designers.

The gala followed the christening of 3-month-old Prince George, baptized in the Chapel Royal of St. James's Palace in an intimate family ceremony that received worldwide coverage despite taking place away from the cameras. Sky News and the BBC royals correspondents reported that she commented on George's good behavior during the christening. "Kate on George at christening: He was such a good boy actually, we're very lucky - he's not always like that ... but â?¦ the people there, lots of action going on, it's slightly distracting," tweeted BBC's Peter Hunt. The pictures taken of the baby when the family arrived at the chapel showed him looking happy, or at least not crying, in father Prince William's arms. When they greeted Queen Elizabeth II, William jiggled the baby's arm a bit to make it seem as if he were waving at his great-grandmother.

This evening, at 10 p.m. London time, the palace released the historic picture, taken after the service Wednesday, of the queen with the three generations of her heirs, the first such picture since 1894. The Kensington Palace State Apartments are the formal Georgian-era state rooms in the palace where Kate and Prince William have recently moved into their newly renovated residence, the 21-room Apartment 1A. The state rooms, including the Presence Chamber, the King's Drawing Room and the Cupola Room, are run by the charity Historic Royal Palaces and are expected to be used for other charity receptions hosted by the royal couple in coming years.

Next month, they are expected to host a winter wonderland-themed party inspired by the ice palace in the film Dr. Zhivago, to raise money for Centrepoint, the charity for the homeless that William has taken on since the death of his mother, Princess Diana, who was its patron.
