The big day is finally here...Prince George's christening! To keep up with all of today's news, The British Monarchy Heir, where we will be providing full coverage of this historic day.

Attached are some pictures of the Duchess of Cambridge on her baptism day with her parents, Michael and Carole Middleton, and her maternal grandmother, Dorothy Goldsmith. Kate was christened on June 20, 1982 at Bradfield's St. Andrew's Church and later confirmed into the Church of England on March 10, 2011, ahead of her marriage to Prince William at the Chapel Royal, the same place where Prince George's christening ceremony is taking place at 3:00pm today.

At a Clarence House reception following Prince George's christening ceremony today, guests will be served tea and a slice of cake taken from the first tier of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's wedding cake.

The cake, designed by Fiona Cairns, was made from 17 individual fruit cakes and had eight tiers. The cake was decorated with cream and white icing using the Joseph Lambeth technique. There were up to 900 individually iced flowers and leaves of 17 different varieties decorated on the cake. A garland design around the middle of the cake matched the architectural garlands decorated around the top of the Picture Gallery in Buckingham Palace, the room in which the cake was displayed during the wedding.
