Dundee, Scotland Visit 2015

On October 23, 2015, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, known as the Earl and Countess of Strathearn in Scotland, made their first official visit to Dundee for a full day of engagements, with the majority of the visit focusing on the mental wellbeing of young people.

William and Kate met with young people who have dealt with mental health challenges and now volunteer to help their friends and peers, and took part in an anti-bullying workshop focusing on how young people can support each other and challenge stigma around a range of topics. They also held a private meeting with leaders in Scotland's youth mental health sector.

As part of the visit, William and Kate met families participating in a family fun day at the Dundee Rep Theatre, and visited RRS Discovery, which carried Scott and Shackleton on their first Antarctic expedition.

The day concluded with a visit to Abertay University, where Prince William, President of BAFTA, and Kate met with students involved in BAFTA's Young Game Designers program.

Kate wore a bespoke 'Slim Fitted Dogtooth Wool Tailored Coat with Belt' and a 'Mini Dogtooth Wool Kilt with Belt' by Scottish designer Christopher Kane.
