Duchess of Cambridge attended BAFTAs 2019

The Duchess of Cambridge stole the show when attending the 72nd annual EE British Academy Film Awards at London's Royal Albert Hall on Sunday evening in a stunning Alexander McQueen off-the-shoulder white gown with a floral motif.

But while Kate won best dressed, it was Olivia Colman, 45, who took one of the top prizes of the night after being named best actress for her role as Queen Anne in The Favourite, which swept the board with seven gongs.

Following the ceremony, the Broadchurch star cosied up to the royal mother-of-three, 37, as the pair offered one another beaming smiles and Kate congratulated her on her award.

Happy times: The royal couple looked as happy as ever as they beamed at one another when taking their seats in The Royal Albert Hall

Looking every inch the film star alongside her husband Prince William, Kate teamed her billowing chiffon frock with a pair of shimmering Jimmy Choo Romy in Viola Glitter heels - estimated to cost around £525.

In a fitting tribute to Princess Diana, the royal is said to have donned the same South Sea Pearl accessories worn by William's mother to a concert at the Royal Albert Hall in 1991.
