Keep it classic like Kate in a coat by Alexander McQueen

The Duchess of Cambridge attended a memorial ceremony at the Menin Gate in Ypres

The Duchess of Cambridge turned to her favourite designer once again for her second overseas trip of the month. She joined the Duke of Cambridge to mark 100 years since the Battle of Passchendaele, wearing a white coat by Alexander McQueen.

Kate has got a reputation for recycling clothes, and this is the third outing for her chic coat. She debuted the custom made piece at Princess Charlotte's christening in 2015, and repeated it for Trooping the Colour last year. This time she teamed it with a Lock & Co. hat, a pair of grey suede courts and a clutch bag by Anne Grand-Clement for a typically elegant look.

Those fold over lapel details are very distinctive and whilst this exact design is bespoke, you can click (right) to buy a similar McQueen coat (also worn by Kate in Poland a few weeks ago). Or recreate the look with the help of our edit below. This Ted Baker style is top of our list, or Suzannah is the place to go for high end dress coats.

The Duchess first wore the Alexander McQueen number to Princess Charlotte's christening, and stylist Rochelle White says she most likely has more than one of the exact same outfit
