Kate Middleton is
spending her Valentine's Day giving back. Instead of spending the day
with her hubby (who's in the Falklands on a six-week deployment), she's
on her second solo royal engagement visiting charities in Liverpool.
She first went to the Brink, an alcohol-free bar that helps those suffering from alcoholism or other substance abuse issues. The venue crafted an alcohol-free smoothie called the Duchess in her honor!
Then she was off to the Alder Hey Children's Hospital and the local Ronald McDonald House for more charity work. She met with kids, who showered her with Valentine's Day gifts. One little boy even said he was sorry Prince William couldn't be with her on the special day!
