Kate Middleton stepped out with the queen Thursday, helping the monarch
officially kick off her Diamond Jubilee tour in celebration of 60 years
on the throne.
The 30-year-old Duchess of Cambridge joined the queen on a jam-packed day of public events in the English city of Leicester, where crowds of well-wishers lined the streets waving flags, toting flowers and gifts for the royals.

The pair, along with Prince Philip, arrived in Leicester after an hour-long train ride from London's St. Pancras station and made their first stop at De Montfort University, where they watched a dance performance. Then the ladies headed to a student fashion show at the university.
Prince
Philip skipped out on the show, paying a visit instead to a
university-organized program called the Square Mile Project, which
supports the community of Leicester.
At the city's 300-year-old cathedral, where the royals attended a church
service, Middleton shook hands with throngs of admirers and reportedly
confided in one how she was faring without her husband Prince William,
who is away in the Falkland Islands completing his Royal Air Force
deployment.
According to the Sun, when asked about William, Middleton said she missed him "terribly," but that she was "being well looked after."
The final stop was a ceremony at Leicester's Clock Tower where the city unveiled a plaque in the queen's honor. The queen will travel to Birmingham, Edinburgh and Glasgow, as well as the Isle of Wight, as her Jubilee tour continues into the summer.
